After the birth of my first child Beatriz, like many new mothers, my main obsession became the quest to give her the best and most healthy start in life. I spent countless hours researching everything from milk formulas, nappies and skincare, food, snacks, cleaning agents, bottles, paints for the nursery, non toxic toys, etc, etc... I found that many products were not truly eco and sustainable, flown in from half way around the globe and/or over packaged, making me realize that someone had missed the point! What came out of my experiences was the realization that there was not one company offering all basics (and not so basics) under on roof.

Early 2007, when my two children were a bit older (3 and 4 years), I strongly felt the need to do something positive, or better said simply do something about it. A lifetime and lifestyle committed to social and environmental sustainability has inspired this premier shopping environment where all food is organic, skincare products are natural and gifts handmade. With the help of a very talented team, mummydeli became a reality. Not just an online shop, but a brand with unrivalled service.

Offering over 470 products that can help through pregnancy, see you through the first weeks and months with baby as well as make life simpler and more carefree for the first few years, mummydeli is the solution for the conscientious mother who does not want to compromise on her family’s wellbeing or the environment. All packages are shipped with our standard carbon neutral delivery service (contributing to a forestation project local to us in Devon), with next day delivery option and we aim to only use recycled cardboard boxes, Forest Stewardship Council certified papers and non-plastic recyclable tape. In order to comply with Health & Safety we have had to compromise on our packaging policy.

Our commitment is to practicality, wellbeing, convenience and the environment. We have gone to great lengths to source the best products for the family. Most of our suppliers and manufacturing partners are in the UK. Exceptions to this rule are made when the quality elsewhere is superior to the local offer or the product is not available such as in the case of our mummydelicious soups and risottos that are specially prepared by the same family that grows the rice.
